Our client is seeking a Granulation Technician to manufacture pharmaceuticals by assisting in the Dispensing of raw materials or the Granulation, Compression or Coating of tablets
Main duties/responsibilities:
o To understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and maintain high housekeeping standards
o Comply with the Health and Safety Policy and Health and Safety Policy Procedures
o Carry out operations in such a way as not to present a risk to the health and safety of themselves and others
o To use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) instructions
o To operate machines in accordance with SOP and BMR instructions
o To clean equipment and work areas in accordance with SOP and BMR instructions
o To follow detailed written processing instructions including BMR’s and SOP’s
o To accurately complete BMR’s including use of simple mathematical calculations
o To carry out any other reasonable task as requested by Management
Qualifications and education required:
o Good general standard of education, specifically in English language and maths
Experience required:
o Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
o Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage
Working pattern:
o Alternating shift pattern of early and late shifts
o Early shift: 6.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday, 6.00am to 12.50pm Friday
o Late shift: 2.00pm to 11.00pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30pm to 4.50pm Friday
This role offers an hourly rate of £6.61 per hour plus 14% shift allowance.

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to supervise the operation of the Manufacturing Department, maintaining good standards of Safety, GMP and Production Quality. You will be responsible for the development of your staff, and optimise other resources, to achieve departmental goals and objectives and to contribute to company sales objectives by achieving production output and efficiency plans.
Main duties/responsibilities:
1. To maintain good housekeeping, GMP and a safe working environment
2. To liaise with Team Leaders and agree weekly production targets with the Planner and Manufacturing Manager
3. To obtain optimum use of equipment, materials and manpower to achieve weekly production targets, with respect to quality and quantity of output.
4. To liaise with warehouse and planning personnel to ensure continuity of raw materials needed to achieve the weekly plan.
5. To work with the development and laboratory personnel towards achieving the right first time introduction of new products.
6. To maintain operator discipline and morale through regular meetings with Team Leaders and operators, and to motivate the workforce adopting a culture of continuous improvement, in line with Company Policy of being an Investor in People.
7. To undertake responsibility for ensuring operators are trained, to an agreed program, against company Health and Safety regulations and departmental standard operating procedures.
8. To ensure adequate records of manufacture are maintained, including accurate batch documentation, shop floor data collection, shift handover reports and operator attendance procedures.
9. To ensure that machinery and tooling is adequately maintained, and to raise safety work permits to allow engineers to complete any necessary work.
10. To ensure correct masks are being used and that Operators recharge and clean their own masks.
11. Ensure that all Operatives are using correct manual handling equipment and practice correct manual handling techniques when lifting.
12. To ensure all machines are safe and report any maintenance issues to the Engineers.
13. Ensure ‘return to work’ forms are completed when a member of staff returns after absence.
14. Ensure holiday forms are signed, recorded and returned to the Personnel Department.
15. Ensure timesheets are handed in to personnel on a weekly basis.
16. To keep Personnel appraised of staff absences.
17. To inform Personnel if any members of their team do not have complete uniform after 13 weeks.
18. To ensure that all new starters have had an induction and training record prepared.
19. To ensure that any temporary staff receives a ‘mini’ induction, sign the paperwork, and that a record is kept of the hours/days that they have worked.
20. To conduct interviews alongside Personnel.
21. To conduct disciplinary investigations with Personnel as necessary.
22. To highlight any training needs to the Training Officer and non-manufacturing process related training needs to Personnel.
23. To ensure that appraisals are completed.
24. To keep the Manufacturing Manager informed of problems or potential issues, and to carry out any reasonable additional task as requested by the Manufacturing Manager.

Qualifications and education required:
o Good general standard of education, specifically in English and Maths
o Relevant qualifications in manufacturing and or Supervising would be an advantage
Experience required:
o Strong manufacturing background, ideally in a similar environment
o Previous supervisory experience
o Proven ability to develop teams of people
Working Hours
The department works over an early and late shift:
Working hours are on a rotating 2 shift system:
Early Shift: 6.00am to 2.30pm Mon – Thu 6.00am to 12.50pm Fri
Late Shift: 2.00pm to 11.00pm Mon – Thu12.30pm to 4.50pm Fri

Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Pasteurising/Bottling Technician to join their established a growing company.
You will be required to work as part of the factory team and report to the factory manager, as well as the pasteurising/bottling supervisor.
The ideal candidate will be expected to follow manufacturing schedules and guidelines for each product. You will also be required to; count stock, record excess ingredients, store finished products safely, record all spillage or damaged products and faulty machinery, as well as learning all aspect of pasteurisation and bottling.
This is a very varied role and as such full on-site training will be provided. However, it is essential that you are prepared to move around within the factory and adopt different tasks accordingly.
Previous factory production and pasteurisation experience is necessary in order to apply for this position.
